'The hallway' is a Small to Medium Enterprise specialising in the delivery of software stocktakes, software validation and compliance, asset registry creation, and ongoing software management services. We help our clients reduce their total cost of ownership of software and deliver ongoing savings through increased efficiency. Our services satisfy the Information Security Manual Control: ISM-1493 requiring software registers to be developed, implemented, maintained, and verified on a regular basis.

A review of current client reporting for software deployed and in use. This extends to Windows and Unix software. This will provide a list of software publisher software in use.
Software publisher (vendor) verification of ownership of the licenses deployed. This is an independent verification of what your organisations owns. This data will form the baseline of your asset register.
Review your organisation's internal procurement records to capture important software asset / metric information. This will be added to information received back from the vendors to strengthen software asset records.
Capture of licence terms and condition / End User Licence Agreement (EULA). This includes the creation of a stand alone EULA library.
Verification of any additional vendor entitlements such as dedicated service and support contracts and how support is accessed.
Preparation of a Software Asset Entitlement Report (baseline asset register). As part of this report, The Hallway will make recommendations on next steps for compliance and/or software cost reduction strategies.

Monthly notification reporting about upcoming software renewals.
Assistance with licence modelling and compliance advice to vendors.
Maintain the software register to include all new and renewal procurement. This extends to include a hardware register (and renewal notifications), and can include releavent contract and supporting documents. This would be required in order to provide ongoing renewals notification.
If procurement informaion is provided then a draft budgetary report can be maintained for next year's spend.
The Hallway has access to additional software specialist that can assist with skills resourcing, not listed above. This includes Procurement and Contract Managament expertise.
